A Day in the Life of an Analyst

Maya Poddar, San Francisco

For me, investment banking was appealing because I could both learn about a variety of industries and work with committed founders on their next steps for growth. Of all the options available upon graduating from college, DC Advisory US felt like a firm where I could gain the most exposure to senior bankers who were invested in my personal success and growth and where clients respected my opinion – which fuels me to be engaged and to excel. It’s rare to find a work environment that pushes you to be the best version of yourself, but given the coworkers we work with and the clients we work for, DC Advisory US pushes me to deliver the best work product every day.

In my short time here, I have had the privilege of working with clients who cover every part of TMT. From a recent European deal where I traveled with my managing directors to France to working on closing an equity investment for an industry defining software company, no two days are the same. The experiences provided by a global firm with a team oriented culture have been invaluable. As someone who survived on sink or swim quarterly courses in college, the sheer pace of experience and skills gained during my time here has been unparalleled.
